As Joni Mitchell's words illustrate so well, the river of time carries all living creatures relentlessly through the seasons and through the various rounds of the carousel we call life. Transitions come in many forms - birth, adolescence, maturity, relationships formed and broken, celebration, tragedy, aging and death — and each one represents a passage that carries us from the past into the future. This series by Pat Pelech — "Passages" — is intended to depict these experiences and the emotions associated with them, both for mankind and for the natural world around us.
